Huskees&Bees has a clean Bill of Health!

Belle (left), Draygon (middle), Sage (right) thank you for your support!

We’ve come a long way since the beginning of 2022 and an even longer way since the beginning of our beekeeping journey.

In September 2022 our PA county beekeeping inspector paid us a visit and gave our honeybees a clean bill of health. That means we can take orders and sell bees for the 2023 season. This is a huge step for us and we are so excited to expand even further into the world of beekeeping. It has been such a rewarding experience and we are ecstatic to share it with the world.

Every day we strive to give our bees, and our huskies everything we can. Right now, we are gearing up for winter. Getting our fondant ready for winter feeding insurance, while feeding 2:1 sugar water to help our bees build stores. When we aren’t working our full-time jobs as healthcare and semiconductor professionals (our current funding for the company) we are prepping the bees and the huskies for winter. We have big goals at Huskees&Bees and we are determined to see them through. Once the bees are prepped for winter, knowing we did everything we could to get them ready, we leave them bee.

In come the huskees. Fall and winter are wonderful seasons. The colors of fall, the cold weather, the snow of winter. We don’t think the bees are huge fans but the huskies love it and so do the humans that love them. We have 3 amazing dogs going into winter 2022 but are planning on rescuing/rehabilitating at least one more in the 2023 season.

Huskies are a misunderstood breed. With their beautiful coats, piercing eyes, and loving personalities it’s no wonder they steal so many hearts. Unfortunately, many of them end up in shelters without the outlet they need. The breed was intended to be a working dog. They love to run and if they don’t have that outlet then they typically become destructive and pick up some bad behaviors. Because our business is so unique, we have the opportunity to work with these unfulfilled dogs and give them what they need so they can be the best of companions.

We are not a non-profit company. We work hard and we play hard. But rest assured that any profits we do make, off of anything we sell, goes directly back into the huskees and the bees. We are growing our bee business in the warm months so we can have the time and resources to grow our huskee rehab in the cold months. This is just one more avenue we are taking to accomplish our goals. Be sure to reach out to us if you are interested in buying bees for the 2023 season. We are taking orders but are limited in availability. As we grow, we will have more availability.

The huskees the bees and the humans want to thank each and every customer for being part of the bigger picture.

Happy Keeping!
